CDR Stephen E. Kyriss

 

Stephen Earl KYRISS -- Commander Stephen Earl Kyriss, U.S.  Navy
Retired, 53, a resident of El Paso, TX, passed away in Albuquerque,
Friday, June 25, 1999.  He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Diane
Kyriss; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Irvin and Ethel Moulton;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ken and Abby Moulton, Larry and Kay
Griffin, and Roger and Kathy Moulton; nephews and nieces; and cousin,
Ron Richardson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and
Dorothy Kyriss.  Stephen graduated from Manzano High School in 1964 and
the University of New Mexico in 1968.  He served in the U.S.  Navy for
25 years.  During that time, he obtained an MBA from George Washington
University, co-authored the Naval textbook,"Seamanship and Navigation"
and served in the Vietnam War.  At the time of his death, Stephen was a
Naval Science Instructor of the NJROTC at Americas High School in El
Paso, TX.  Services will be held Thursday, 12:00 noon, at French
Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd.  Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd.  NE, with Rev.
Charles R. Exley officiating.  Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at
Santa Fe National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be made to Americas High School NJROTC Unit, 12101 Pelicano, El
Paso, TX 79932 or to the charity of your choice.  French Mortuary, 7121
Wyoming Blvd.  NE.
